Mrs. Triplett's 4th Grade Class Participates in Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
Launch the media gallery 1 playerMrs. Triplett's class was selected to participate in the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the State Capitol on December 2nd in Oklahoma City. While visiting the Capitol, students enjoyed listening to storytelling, caroling, and touring the building. Each class in attendance was provided with a tree to decorate with ornaments made by the students. Mrs. Triplett's class chose "Okie from Muskogee" as their theme, and each student hand-painted a guitar representing Muskogee. Some designs painted were the Batfish, Garden of Lights, Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, and the Roxy Theater. The class also had a picture made with Governor Mary Fallin, State Superintendent Janet Baressi, and Santa.
