6th Grader Competes in Oklahoma State Geography Bee
Congratulations to sixth-grader Darrin Hays! On Saturday, March 28, Darrin competed in the Oklahoma State Geography Bee on the University of Oklahoma campus in Norman. To be eligible to compete in the state bee, Darrin had to place first in the school geography bee and have one of the 100 highest scores in the state on a qualifying test. At the Oklahoma State Geography Bee, Darrin competed against students from around the state, answering challenging questions about landforms, cultures, and animals from around the world. For his achievements, he received a commendation and certificate.
