On Wednesday, October 28, the HMS Academic Team members competed at the Zion Academic Meet. At the meet, students tested in 5 subjects: math, science, social studies, language arts, and humanities. Ribbons were given to the students with the six highest scores in each subject. HMS Academic Team members took home a total of 26 ribbons. Congratulations to the Academic Team members who received the following awards:

6th grade:

Daytona Owle: 6th place, Humanities and 4th place, Social Studies Reed Stout: 3rd place, Math and 4th place, Social Studies Lyndsey Eckerson: 6th place, Language Arts and 5th place, Social Studies Zach Speir: 4th place, Social Studies

7th grade:

Jessica Hollingshead: 6th place, Social Studies; 1st place, Language Arts; and 2nd place, Humanities Madelyn Rogers: 1st place, Humanities; 1st place, Language Arts; and 3rd place, Science

8th grade:
