FAFSA has changed it's due date! You can now submit your 2017-18 FAFSA forms on October 1. In doing this you will use your 2015 tax statement. Both the parents' and student must have a FSA ID. You can create an FSA ID by going to studentaid.gov/fsaid. This can take 1-3 days to get approved.
