Mandatory Shutdown

*Latest Coronavirus Update - 3/16/2020

3-16-20

Today, the Oklahoma State Board of Education meet and closed all Oklahoma School until April 6, 2020.

Activities - Therefore, effective immediately all activities for Hilldale Public Schools are postponed until April 6, 2020. We will work to reschedule as many events as possible. PTO, booster club, or other groups who use our facilities and host events for our students both on campus and off are also postponed. We will work with our groups to reschedule. All athletic games, practices, or events are also off during this time period.

Lunch - We will work to provide lunch at different locations. With 60% of our students living below the poverty level, providing an opportunity for those students and families is vital. We will provide more information this week.

Curriculum - On Friday, March 13, 2020, we sent home packets with students and our staff set up virtual assignments for students in grades 4-12. We hope these assignments provide good review for your students and these assignments are review in nature and will not count towards a students’ grade. We will also release our packets on our website and packets can be picked up at your school site on Monday of next week. Please contact those sites for more information. We will also release a list of web based platforms that are free for families to use and keep your child on grade level during this break.

Staff – Thank you to our staff. Last week you all worked hard to prepare work for our students and keep our facilities clean. Both certified and support staff continue to provide a quality education for students and we are so grateful for you!

Finally, we ask that you reach out to your neighbors. Check on one another. Especially check on the elderly or neighbors who may have compromised health. We must all follow the guidance of the CDC and State Department of Health, while also loving the members of our family and community. As these events evolve, we will continue to update information.
