School Closing Update 3/23/20

Good Evening,

Child Nutrition: Today we served over 350 meals to our students.  Thank you to our staff who made that possible. Tomorrow, March 24, we will begin distributing both breakfast and lunch from 9:30-11:30. We will have one change.  We will serve food at two locations:

• Hilldale Elementary School
• Eastside Community Church

If you need food delivered to you please contact your child’s school site and we will work to make that happen.

Will school be closed the remainder of the year? Today we were notified by the Oklahoma State Superintendent of Schools that she will request on Wednesday, March 25th, to close schools. Schools are to make “continuous learning plans." We have already started that process. When this announcement becomes official, we will release how we will serve our students for the remainder of our academic school year.

You should expect to be contacted this week by your students’ site administration. We need to know:

1. Do you want us to deliver food to you?  This helps our school so please take food. 
2. Do you have WIFI in your home?
3. Do you have a device that your child could do virtual assignments on?

We will use this information to make the best plans possible.  We know that parents/guardians will have many questions during this time.  Please contact your child’s school site.
