Dylan Altman and Jack Newman represented Hilldale High School at the 2016 session of the Oklahoma American Legion Boys State, held at the NEO A&M campus in Miami, OK. Participants studied leadership, patriotism, and the government of Oklahoma, through classwork and simulations. American Legion Batfish Post 241 sponsored the students.
Hilldale High School Spanish Club recently attended a Hispanic Ballet, Latin American Fiesta, in Tulsa. It was a dazzling and colorful display of costumes, music and dance from Hispanic nations of the Caribbean, Central and South America. On October 3rd, the Hilldale Education Foundation is hosting a donkey basketball tournament. Games begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Event Center. There will be 3 games. Each game will have a student team and a faculty team. Student teams will consist of juniors & seniors. Beth Wells, the 2016 Hilldale District Teacher of the Year, was recognized at a luncheon provided by the Muskogee Area Education Consortium. Hosted on Sept. 22, the luncheon recognized area districts and their Teacher of the Year. Beth was presented a commendation from Senator Earl Garrison and Representative George Faught.
