Successful Socktober for NASA

The Hilldale High School Native American Student Association collected more than 200 items for the Muscogee Creek Nation's Socktober event. Socktober is a month-long initiative to collect socks, toothbrushes, tooth paste, soap, towels, and other toiletries to help those in need. All items collected were donated to help homeless youth within the Muscogee Creek Nation's boundaries. "I would love to make this a yearly event for my NASA group," said Tera Shows, NASA sponsor. "Some classes held competitions to see which class could donate the most items. The kids really enjoyed the fact that they were helping other kids."
