Middle School Spelling Bee
Thirty-six Hilldale Middle School students competed in the school spelling bee on February 13, 2015. Sixth grade students competing included Jessica Hollingshead, Logan McMahan, Tearney Maxwell, Sydney Shoemake, Kellen Bowden, Kaden Battenfield, Samuel Porras, Koi Kerr, Derek Thompson, Aubrey Brewster, Cameron Fabian, and Shy McLain. Seventh grade participants were Isaac McBrien, Kylie Gant, Calen Mitchell, T.J. Maxwell, Sean Lester, Logan Sellers, Cara York, Jared Spencer, Autumn Johnson, Zoe Hause, Niky Harper, and Alyk Keefe. Eighth graders competing included Marissa Borges, Ashia Capps, Oli Chapin, Devin Conaway, Jaedyn Crawford, Jonah Fabian, Levi Gassaway, Madison Hilton, Mattie Hurlburt, Haley Sherbourne, and Lauren Woodall.
Cara York placed 1st and Zoe House was runner-up.
