Scholarship Competition for Incoming Students:

At the University of Minnesota Rochester, we want to help provide students with the resources to make their education more affordable. This year, we plan to do so by hosting a scholarship competition. The Health Care Scholars Day competition will take place on February 4, 2017.

Scholarships will be awarded in the amounts of $1,000-$8,000 and some are recurring. To have the opportunity to be invited to the scholarship competition, students are required to complete the UMR Admissions Application by the priority deadline of December 1, 2016 and complete the Passion for Health Care Short Answer Question.

Students who succeed at UMR are passionate about health care. The Short Answer Question allows them to briefly describe the reason for your passion to pursue a career in health care.

In order to find students who are the perfect fit, we want to ensure that applicants meet our education requirements, including 4 years of mathematics. This includes two years of Algebra, one which must be intermediate or advanced Algebra and one year of geometry. Use this checklist to learn more about what is required for admission in to UMR.
