Virtual Days/Coronavirus Update

Updated 3/13/20 @ 3:31 p.m.

3-13-20

HAPPY SPRING BREAK!!

Our plan as of now is to return from spring break and have school as usual.  This situation has been changing by the hour so IF this changes will make immediate announcements.

Our staff has been preparing all week for the possibility of missing days after spring break.

Today, we will send home packets for our elementary students in grades PK-3.  We would provide virtual assignments and/or packets for students in grades 4-12.  Virtual assignments would be through Google classroom and/or Remind.  These assignments would be review in nature.

IF we have to miss any days after spring break we may use these assignments for virtual days.  Students will be required to do the assignments if school is not in session.  Teachers will be in contact with parents and students IF this occurs to help answer questions through Remind and school email.

According to CDC guidance:  If you have close contact with someone with COVID-19 during travel, you may be asked to stay home to self-monitor and avoid contact with others for up to 14 days after travel. If you become sick with COVID-19, you may be unable to go to work or school until you’re considered noninfectious. You will be asked to avoid contact with others (including being in public places) during this period of infectiousness.

We are asking that if you travel out-of-state to an area of community outbreak or out of the country during spring break that you email or call your site principal.

Please include the following information in your email or message:

  • Student Name:
  • Grade:
  • Location of travel:
  • Date: of travel:

This information is needed to help us make appropriate decisions for our district. Thank you for your help in this matter as we work to stay informed and keep our students safe.
