August 27 Update

Good Evening,

Virtual Parents - You need to login to your student(s) account and make sure they are completing assignments.  Also, just because an assignment is complete doesn’t mean the assignment is a 100% or an “A”, answers must be correct.  You can access your student(s) grades on parent parental or your child’s login.  This is different than the spring, so please monitor your children’s time on assignments and grades.   We also know students are getting together to work on assignments, so please monitor that.  Contact your site principal for assistance.

Monday August 31 – We will have our second virtual day, Monday August 31st.  Students will be at home MondayYour child will come home Friday with their Chromebook or I-pad and a charger.  Our staff will be on-site each virtual day to teach your child and provide support to you as parents/guardians.  This is a great opportunity for us to practice and prepare in-case we have to close school for any reason, illness, COVID, or snow days. Communication is key on these days, so please reach out to our staff so we can provide a quality education and learn how we can improve.

Lunch on Virtual days - We will provide lunch and breakfast pick-up and delivery on virtual days.  Pick-up will take place at our elementary school, similar to how we passed out food this spring.  Pick-up will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 each virtual day. Delivery will start at 9:30.

If you need meals delivered please contact, dbarber@hilldaleps.org – 918-683-0273 ex. 423.  There is one major difference from this spring in food distribution.  At this time, schools can’t give all families free food.  We have to follow the guidelines set by each families pay status – FREE, REDUCED, or FULL PAY.

Free and reduced lunch application - link on right - Please complete and return to your site secretary.  Getting these in helps our district financially so please complete them.

IF you have symptoms please stay home - If your child is showing symptoms of COVID, fever, loose of smell or taste, fatigue, shortness of breath, diarrhea, vomiting, please stay at home until symptom free for 24 hours without medicine.

Expect change – As you all know, every day is a new day in our world right now.  We will work to make changes as smooth as possible with as much notice as possible.  I would ask that you make plans in case in-person school has to move to distance learning off campus.  Please have a plan for daycare for your children, as we could have to close a classroom, school site, or the entire district with little notice.  We will prepare daily with students for this scenario, so that they will as prepared as possible if we have to send them home.

Thank you for your continued support
